“Connected Strategy” takes a look at an old dog that is learning every day new tricks: the promise of beautifying the customer relationships for every organization. When one looks at the complexity of the modern technology , it is easy to get lost. How can artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data and the mobile transformation change so much the marketing interactions field? 

Nicolaj Siggelkow and Christian Terwiesch are taking the topic further. The new mantra for the executives spells out that “technology changes radically the way we interact with the customers.” All good, but how? And don’t we need a structural way of approaching these changes? Ashley Goodall and Marcus Buckingham embark on a very exciting journey – the one where they would dispel a lot of myths about work. These myths are deeply ingrained in our working culture – so deep that in fact some of them passed the folklore stage and became daily walk-in assumptions.

What are the lies about work? Beyond the provocative denomination – lies about work are pre-conceptions about the way we conduct our work during our careers. Things that we heard so many times about our office behavior, processes and interactions, that we take for granted. “Reinventing the Organisation” – by Arthur Yeung and Dave Ulrich, a Harvard Business Review book

There are usually few books addressing the organisational development field – and even less out there of a relevant nature. “Reinventing the Organisation” makes a come back at this lateral management topic – and a good one.
My first question when reaching for this new Harvard Business Review title was – why do we need to recreate our compqnies’ structures?

In these days of fluid agile management, empowered workers and wonder technology tools, shouldn’t the organisation’s be enough resources to adjust by themselves?

Apparently yes. Unfortunately, the marketplace disruptions show otherwise. The ever-growing technology stack brings not only automations and self-balancing acts. It also brings massive complexity, disconnected teams with disconnected objectives, over-burdened managers. I hear more and more often how most companies leaders and employees are struggling to keep the boat together.
